First Baptist Church of Brandon is a Southern Baptist ministry that was founded in 1915 and moved to its current location in 1930. Since that time, the ministry and the community around it has experienced explosive growth. It currently has over 4,000 members which meet in nine buildings on over 25 acres of property.
The ministry was quickly reaching critical mass when it came to their communication and IT network. Over the years, their two Nortel systems had reached their maximum capacity, were cumbersome, expensive and couldn’t be upgraded. Their current vendors had no clear solution and were quoting systems that would cost tens of thousands of dollars more than what was in the budget.
